Academic Alert
Multiple academic resources are available on campus to assist the students academically. Student Development Coordinators in the Center for Student Success will contact students referred to them (via their UMSL e-mail account and by phone) and connect them with appropriate academic resources. We encourage each student to respond to the Student Development Coordinator who contacts them. Come into our office, 225 MSC; we are here to help you!
Statistically, students who respond to Academic Alerts have a much higher chance of completing courses and their academic study successfully.
There are many academic resources available to students on campus, such as the Writing Lab, Math Lab, Economics Resource Lab, Supplemental Instruction and more. Student Development Coordinators in the Center for Student Success will discuss the particular concerns of each student and connect the student with appropriate academic resources, in addition to other support services available on campus.
The Center for Student Success offers a series of Student Success Workshops each Fall and Winter/Spring semesters which are designed to advance students' academic achievement. Some of the workshop topics are Time Management, Effective Study Skills, Beating Procrastination, and Test-Taking Strategies. Take advantage of these workshops offered in the Center for Student Success.
