New students may obtain their first photo ID in 225 MSC at no charge after registering for classes. A copy of your current schedule of classes and another photo ID are necessary to obtain your UMSL photo ID. Staff in the Center for Student Success can print a copy of your current schedule of classes, if needed. There is a $5.00 fee for the replacement of the first lost or stolen ID; second and subsequent replacements carry a $10 fee. Fees are payable at the Cashier's Office. |

Students may use their ID to charge bookstore purchases to their student account two weeks prior to the start of the semester, but there may be a slight waiting period after registering for classes before charging is allowed. The UMSL Photo ID can also serve as identification when writing checks on campus.
The UMSL Photo ID allows access to the Mark Twain Building (gym), computer labs, other campus facilities and special events. It will also be requested when selling books back to the bookstore.
