Summer Success Program
The Summer Success Program was designed for first-time freshman applicants that applied for the Fall Semester who may benefit from some advanced exposure to the college curriculum before their formal admission in the Fall. Typically, students are sent a contract and must indicate their interest in completing the program which consists of two college level classes, such as
Freshman Composition and
American History or
American Politics, in addition to a non-credit
Freshman Success Workshop (or, Orientation & Study Skills Workshop) that is taught by professional staff in the Center for Student Success. Students must complete each of their courses with a minimum grade of "C" to be admitted for the Fall Semester.
Instructors for each of these courses collaborate prior to the start of the Summer Session as they develop their syllabus and consult with each other during the Summer Session to promote the success of each student.
